Indeed, this type of analysis appears to be unavoidable.

出所混同の問題について、結論に至る理由を述べるにあたり、最終的な結論が両商標全体を考慮した上での判断であれば、合理的根拠に基づき、商標の特徴ある部分を多かれ少なかれ重視したと表明すること自体、決して不適切ではない。現に、この種の分析においては、避けられないものと言える。

商標の類否判断においては、全体観察と分離観察が出てきます。分離観察は、本件では「weight has been given to a particular feature of a mark」（商標の特徴のある部分に重きを置く）と述べられています。一方、全体観察に相当するのが「considetaion of the marks in their entireties」です。
「商標全体」という概念を表す英語として、「a mark in its entirety」又は「a mark as a whole」がよく使われます。
